Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Wednesday, October 5, 2022

A West District business alarm was accidentally activated by an employee. 

Officers followed up from the previous shift’s encounter with two homeless individuals who had been found staying on a closed and vacant West District bank property. The individuals had started cleaning up after themselves, but had not yet completed the task. Officers remained on scene until the job was completed. Both individuals packed up their belongings and left the property.

Walmart reported a theft from the day prior. The suspect was identified and warrants were issued for their arrest. 

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with putting a license plate from another car onto their own. 

An East District resident made a theft report regarding property that had been taken from their own a few days prior. 

A traffic stop in the 9500 block of Apison Pike resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

While conducting late night business checks an officer made contact with a parked car in the lot of a South District church. The car was occupied by two students from a local university who advised that they were only talking. 

A traffic stop in the 9400 block of Ooltewah Industrial Drive led to the driver’s arrest for DUI. 

A Collegedale fugitive was arrested and booked on their warrant. 

A traffic stop in the 9300 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving on a revoked license.
